About Taste & See

Who we are

Taste & See is a homeless feeding ministry of Sonshine Bible Fellowship, serving Bremerton and the surrounding Kitsap community.

We believe a warm meal, a kind word, and a listening ear can open hearts to the goodness of God.

What we do

• Serve hot, home-style meals to those experiencing homelessness or food insecurity

• Offer prayer and encouragement to anyone who asks

• Create a welcoming table where every person is treated with dignity and respect

Our heart and scripture

Our Scripture:

“Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.” Psalm 34:8

We live this out by making God’s goodness tangible—one plate, one conversation, one person at a time.

How it works

Meal gatherings.

We host regular meal services at local outreach locations in and around Bremerton. Guests are welcomed, seated, and served like family.

More than a meal.

Alongside food, we offer:

• Prayer and spiritual support

• Connection to local resources (when possible)

• Community and conversation in a safe, caring environment

• When: Weekly meal service (Mondays)

• Where: Local outreach sites and partner locations in Bremerton

Ways to serve:

• Cook & prep: Help prepare meals in advance

• Serve & host: Greet guests, serve plates, sit and listen

• Set up & clean up: Create a warm space and leave it better than we found it
